Thompson Warriors Varsity Takes Some Time To Pull Away From Vestavia Hills

Thompson Warriors Varsity had trouble putting away Vestavia Hills on Tuesday, but eventually Thompson Warriors Varsity prevailed 4-3. Thompson Warriors Varsity took the lead for good in the seventh inning. The game was tied at three with Thompson Warriors Varsity batting in the top of the seventh when there was an error, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Vestavia Hills tied things up at three. An error scored one run for Vestavia Hills.

Drew Williams earned the win for Thompson Warriors Varsity. He pitched seven innings, allowing three runs, seven hits, striking out two, and walking zero. Colton Lewis took the loss for Vestavia Hills. He tossed six innings, surrendering three runs, five hits, and striking out two.

Caleb Ragland, Josh Huner, JC Parker, Chris Lewis, Breydon Edmondson, and Myles Brown each collected one hit to lead Thompson Warriors Varsity.

D.J. Steele led Vestavia Hills with two runs batted in. He went 1-for-3 on the day.
