Thompson Warriors Varsity Grabs Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Hoover
Thompson Warriors Varsity took the lead late in the game in a 2-1 victory over Hoover on Thursday. Thompson Warriors Varsity was down 1-0 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Will Conner singled off of Griffin Lape, driving in two runs.
The pitching was strong on both sides. JC Parker struck out zero, while Hoover pitchers sat down one.
Parker earned the win for Thompson Warriors Varsity. He tossed seven innings, surrendering one run, three hits, and walking one. Devin Cole took the loss for Hoover. He went five and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs, three hits, and striking out one.
Chris Lewis, Caleb Ragland, Will Conner, and Breydon Edmondson each collected one hit to lead Thompson Warriors Varsity.
