Thompson Warriors Varsity Jumps Out To Early Lead In Victory Over Calera

An early lead helped Thompson Warriors Varsity defeat Calera 8-2 on Saturday. Thompson Warriors Varsity scored on a walk , a double , and a single by Caleb Ragland in the second inning.

Kytle earned the win for Thompson Warriors Varsity. He pitched seven innings, surrendering two runs, four hits, and striking out six. Hall took the loss for Calera. He threw one inning, surrendering five runs, four hits, and striking out one.

Thompson Warriors Varsity had 11 hits in the game. Ragland, Kytle, and Bryson Miller each collected multiple hits for Thompson Warriors Varsity. Miller and Kytle each drove in two runs to lead Thompson Warriors Varsity. Thompson Warriors Varsity was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Breydon Edmondson made the most plays with seven.

Hall led Calera with two runs batted in. He went 1-for-3 on the day. Calera was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Kevin Dowdell had the most chances in the field with five.
