Thompson Warriors Grabs Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over Hoover

Thompson Warriors took the lead late and defeated Hoover 9-3 on Wednesday. Thompson Warriors trailed 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Lauren Haskins homered, driving in two runs.

Lauren Haskins led Thompson Warriors to victory by driving in five runs. She went 3-for-4 at the plate. Haskins drove in runs on a home run in the fifth and a home run in the sixth.

Thompson Warriors scored six runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was thanks to a home run by Haskins, a single by Jamira Lawson, a triple by Kennedy Foote, and a single by Heaven Rodgers.

Bailey Whitfield earned the win for Thompson Warriors . She threw seven innings, surrendering three runs, 13 hits, and striking out four.

Thompson Warriors collected 14 hits. Foote, Haskins, Kendall DeRamus, and Madison Bubel each collected multiple hits for Thompson Warriors . Haskins and Foote each managed three hits to lead Thompson Warriors . Thompson Warriors didn't commit a single error in the field. Haskins had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.

Hoover had 13 hits in the game. PlayerB, PlayerC, PlayerI, and PlayerG each collected multiple hits for Hoover.
