Thompson Warriors Jumps Out To Early Lead In Victory Over Pelham
An early lead helped Thompson Warriors Varsity defeat Pelham 15-2 on Tuesday. Thompson Warriors Varsity took the lead on a triple in the first inning.
Thompson Warriors Varsity captured the lead in the first inning. Breydon Edmondson drove in two when he tripled in the first inning.
Thompson Warriors Varsity scored four runs in the seventh inning. The big inning was thanks to a passed ball, a double by Alex Pearman, a walk by Chris Miranda, and a single by Caleb Ragland.
JC Parker earned the win for Thompson Warriors Varsity. He threw six innings, surrendering two runs, five hits, and striking out seven. Mitchell Rottier took the loss for Pelham. He tossed four and a third innings, giving up ten runs, nine hits, and striking out eight.
Thompson Warriors Varsity collected 15 hits. Ragland, Chris Lewis, and Parker each collected multiple hits for Thompson Warriors Varsity. Ragland went 3-for-4 at the plate as he led the team with three runs batted in. Thompson Warriors Varsity didn't commit a single error in the field. Edmondson had the most chances in the field with seven.
Rottier went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Pelham in hits.
